About Us

John Kornfeld is the principal and co-founder of Rhino Engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the states of Colorado (#33064), North Dakota (#6709), and Utah (#294068). He is also an ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager (Certificate No. US-03-00878).

He has worked professionally in the states of Arizona, Colorado, North Dakota, Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming. His 28 years of civil engineering and water resources experience includes work with U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management as well as private consulting companies in Utah and Arizona prior to founding Rhino Engineering. John is experienced in surface water hydrology, hydraulics designs, engineering design for commercial, industrial, and residential developments, urban street and rural highway designs, project feasibility studies, environmental studies and documents preparation, and construction engineering.

Rhino’s staff and partnering firms are registered engineers in civil engineering, hydraulic engineering, geotechnical engineering and environmental engineering.
